Definition (English):

ReAct interleaves reasoning traces with action execution in a prompt. The LLM generates reasoning ("Thought") followed by actions ("Action") that interact with external tools (search, code execution, API calls), then receives observations ("Observation"). This "think-act-observe" loop enables LLMs to ground their reasoning in real-world information, reducing hallucination and enabling complex task completion.
