Definition (English):

Hypothesis testing is a statistical method for making decisions about population parameters based on sample data. The null hypothesis (H0) is tested against the alternative (H1). p-values indicate the probability of observing the data if H0 is true. Common tests: t-test, chi-squared, ANOVA, Mann-Whitney. In ML, hypothesis testing validates whether performance differences between models are statistically significant.

Kiểm tra giả thuyết là phương pháp thống kê để đưa ra quyết định về tham số dân số dựa trên dữ liệu mẫu. Giả thuyết không (H0) được kiểm tra so với giả thuyết thay thế (H1). p-value chỉ ra xác suất quan sát dữ liệu nếu H0 đúng. Các kiểm tra phổ biến: t-test, chi-squared, ANOVA, Mann-Whitney. Trong ML, kiểm tra giả thuyết xác nhận liệu sự khác biệt hiệu suất giữa các mô hình có ý nghĩa thống kê.
