Event cameras (Dynamic Vision Sensors – DVS) output pixel-level brightness changes (events) asynchronously with microsecond resolution, instead of fixed-frame images. They have high dynamic range (140dB), no motion blur, and low latency. Combined with SNNs for ultra-fast, low-power visual processing. Applications: high-speed robotics, autonomous driving, drone navigation, AR/VR. Datasets: N-Caltech101, DVS-Gesture.
