Neuromorphic chips implement SNNs in hardware for ultra-low-power, low-latency inference. Intel Loihi 2 (1M neurons, on-chip learning), IBM TrueNorth (1M neurons, 256M synapses), BrainChip Akida (commercial), SpiNNaker (1M ARM cores). Event-driven: computation only on spikes. Analog neuromorphic (memristors) for analog inference. Enables always-on AI at milliwatt scale: keyword spotting, gesture recognition, anomaly detection.
